The former Vice President of the United States, Al Gore, became vegan. Last weekend the Forbes published an article which stated that the former Vice President "who recently became vegan" was considering investing in Hampton Creek Foods.

The Washington Post investigated and found that the environmental activist decided to change your diet for several months, eliminating animal products from their diet.

Al Gore, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 for the global campaign launched on climate change, has been the target of criticism over the years for eating meat and, at the same time, point the finger at the livestock industry for contributing to global warming.

"I'm not a vegetarian, but substantially reduced the amount of meat I eat," said Al Gore in an interview with ABC in 2009, reports the Huffington Post. "It is absolutely right that the growing intensity of meat-based diets is one of the problems linked to global warming â€" not only by carbon dioxide involved as the water consumed," he claimed.

Several informational agencies indicate that Al Gore has changed his power in February when he ordered a vegan dish at a restaurant in St. Louis.
