In the past, the sports cars were synonymous with speed, luxury and money, but not of sustainability. However, this paradigm is changing and there are many State-of-the-art sports brands that begin to produce more sustainable models.

Now it is time of the Lamborghini reveal their first hybrid car: the Asterion LPI 910-4. The Asterion, presented at the Paris Motor Show 2014, is powered by the new plug-in hybrid system of Lamborghini, which combines a 5.2 liter V10 Engine with three electric motors.

In total there are 910 horsepower and requirements to make the Asterion LPI 910-4 in a top of the range sports car are all there: go to 100 km/h in three seconds, until it reaches a top speed of 320 km/h. The sustainable part lies in the fact that can travel up to 50 km in electric mode, more than most hybrids on the market, such as the Ford Fusion Hybrid and the Honda Accord Energi plug-in Hybrid. In electric mode it is possible to reach speeds of up to 125 km/h.

When Asterion LPI 910-4, Lamborghini showed no production plans, referred to in Inhabitat. But most likely between in production next year.
