Is a real deja vu what happened last night in the District of Gazipur, Bangladesh: a fire destroyed part of a textile factory and killed ten people. According to local media, some 50 people were injured.

The fire broke out at the factory Aswad in Sripur Composite Mills, having spread to two other buildings, also textile manufacturing and held by the Palmal Group.

Pakistani textile industry worth €14,7 billion ($ 44 billion) and employ four million people, being also responsible for 80% of the exports of the Country.

In April, recalled, the collapse of a building in Savar led to the deaths of 1,127 workers. In November 2012, a fire destroyed a factory of Tazreen Fashions, on the outskirts of Dhaka, killing 112 people.

It is recalled that several multinational companies of the fashion industry have been severely criticized by the working conditions as their Asian suppliers provide to developers.

According to the Worker Rights Consortium, a group that investigates working conditions in factories around the world, if the citizens of the developed countries to pay more €0,08 for every piece of clothing, could help save hundreds of lives.
