Sesimbra: swimming with sharks to preserve the Portuguese sea (with video)

Most of the Portuguese is unaware of this fact, but it is possible to swim with sharks, in the national coast, and help promote biodiversity and preserve the Portuguese sea. The initiative is led by the company Neptune, founded by life and maritime enthusiasts that gives customers the possibility to stroll

"Portugal is a paradise for those who love sharks. We have dozens of species, including the anequins, the ", hammers, basking sharks, whale sharks and, occasionally, white sharks," explained to the green economy, the founder of Neptune, João Correia.

On a typical day, can attract three or four sharks off the coast of Sesimbra, according to officials of Neptune. According to Walter Canelas, skipper and champion of bottom fishing, the Portuguese coast sharks "are not very aggressive".
